Car shut off when turning onto highway. Have power, lights etc. Tried to start.

Two possibilities I can think of right now. One, need to check fuel pressure to see if fuel pump is engaging. Two, possible trip of fuel cutoff switch (inertia switch) need to check both.

Also possible timing belt (which you can't see) may have broken, engine seem to crank over faster now?
