Although the seat belt is properly buckled, the seat belt warning light *always* continues to ring for two minutes as if the belt is not connected. Occasionally and intermittently, the Air Bag warning light also lights, and seems to somehow be related to the constant seat belt warning problem.

Spray 'inside' seatbelt 'latch' liberally with WD-40 .. Using compressed air (from shop air compressor) blow out the latch, suspect latch is gummed up inside and the buckle presence sensor intermittently doesn't recognize belt is buckled .. May have to repeat cleaning process .. I have found that usually fixes this problem!
1. Unplug the driver side seat belt pretensioner connector. It is a Yellow 4-pin connector for convertibles and 2-pin connector for sedans. 2. Disconnect the pretensioner connector and jumper the wires together on the harness side. Wire colors are Light Green/Yellow and Light Green/Dark Green. 3. Check if a code for the driver side pretensioner circuit shorted is stored. 4. If the shorted code is stored, the wires and module are OK. The pretensioner is faulty.
My wife has same car and just had same problem. I found the problem under the drivers seat. A wire at back of connecter (under drivers seat) had broken due to adjusting the drivers seat back and forth for different drivers. Raise the electric seat up and forward as far as you can. Should now be easy to see the electrical connector while looking under the back side of seat. Hope this helps
I tried this, but it did not change anything.
Suggest scan test body control module so live data can be viewed to 'see exactly' what's going on when *BELTS* are buckled/unbuckled as well as the rest of systems including SRS. Good luck with it!
