Battery light pops on and reman alternator not charging.

Put back together and put generator to task. started at 14.46 volts than dropped 11.83v after about 2 min. am waiting on another one to be delivered. hopefully that is my problem. on bench test it checked out good but they only left it on for a few seconds.

Bench testing is a waste of time! .. What it does on vehicle is what counts... BTW, pro scanner can 'full field' alternator to test PCM if needed but they pretty much solved those problems back in the late 90's .. IF PCM issue...should have C.E.L. on and trouble code.. Good luck... You should have purchased > NAPA Power Supreme Alt.

Have been driving since Sunday night. Thanx for all the help. Stupid reman parts and aotuzone and O'Reillys. Part from O'Reillys and autozone down block did test.

ohmed again this morning at 200 ohms and getting 1.5 along all grounds and + cables.both were battery and alt generator were benched tested and both tested good. am not sure what i am supposed to be pulling as far as the ohms, but noticed that there was a ground on front and for some reason when i hit the + on the field of generator it flashed. i did it again and it flashed again. thanx for the help so far!
