Yes; They will reprogram it under recall #05023.

GM dealership answer is to replace cluster ($600-700). Reprogramming will do nothing to regain illumination. The display going blank is caused by several resistors on cluster circuit board have cracked at their solder connections. Look on internet or possibly someone local who can perform this repair procedure. Repair prices are usually very reasonable. Good luck.
