Sounds like a fuel issue, see if there is any fuel pressure or listen for the fuel pump when cranking the engine. By the way, you could have just unplugged the MAF to see if it would run, you didn't have to replace it.

Agree, 99.9% of the time, it's the fuel pump module that's the problem on these vehicles! Have the pressure tested as stated. Very rare to have any ignition related problems with these engines that kills the engine, that I have had anyway!
