My car suddenly lost daylights and now have to disconnect battery to turn off

KEY phrase from first answer , "Testing required."..... Wiring and components need to be tested , otherwise it's ALL guesswork. ... Sometimes you get a lucky guess , sometimes ya don't.

'IF' the *headlight switch* is turned OFF .. Suspect shorted headlight switch/wiring .. Testing required.

Would it cause my bright indicator to brighten and dim when lights are off? Why would my parking lights stay on with no key and switch off?
