Blower motor runs on high and can not be shut off even by key off some times and sometimes you can control by the fan switch and it just acts normal , and it can run down the battery if I don't unplug at blower motor , any ideas ,mThanks

Replace the Blower Resistor. The part that the wires come from to the blower motor. Make sure the wires and connector are not melted or burned. If so replace them as well. Some resistors come with new pigtails, some do not.
Also, the new resistor will look different but will fit and work just fine, not a bad job, instructions come with the part.
I picked up a duralast brand resister today ,, tried installing ! Easy to get out , but the new one is quite different , both plugs are the same , outside is the same but when I tried to install it was held up by a couple of plastic protector like arms I guess u mite call them , the one that came out had a circuit board like piece 2x3" on the inside , the new one looks like a long skinny and flat tube with a resistor on it , I'd have to cut off the plastic arms if I wanted it to fit in , is this what you ment by it a little different , or is this the wrong one , Thanks for your help
It's the wrong one, take the old one in to match them for the right one. The new one sounds like it's for an auto air system. The old one sounds like basic air system.
Hinkley: give me the part number of the one you purcased from Zone. Should have been DR 780 std heater or 20070 HD heater. The DR 770 is for aux. or rear heater. What did they give you?
Auto zone gave me the DR 780 I'll try and get a number off the one on theVan , Thanks The 20070 was the same thing , I saw that the other one went to rear unit ,,
Check with a GM dealer, sometimes the price ain't that much more and the parts usually are right, plus better quaility! You will need the vin to get the right one.
That's the same thing Zone has! Both will work without any mods. It just looks different!!
I know. NAPA has the same thing too. That is why i just recommended the dealer thing! It will look different too i bet! In fact i am pretty sure it has been revised a couple of times!
I'll have to try the dealer , I only see a used one onEbay that looks like it , very confused on this , it's strange that everyone I see on the e bay looks like the one I got from the zone and that's hundreds of them ?? Thanks for all the help ,I'll let u know how I make out ,,

OK men , here's the update on this and I hope this solves my problem , Dealer price $ 129.65 WOW , had to order it , $ 24.99 Autozone the one I brought back that I though was wrong , it was not all they had to do is put some instructions in the darn box ??? Anyway !!! Instructions on one dealer got tells you u u have to cut out for the new one , it also had a template to put one the outer box to mark out so u know we're to cut , it's plastic but says not to let cuttings drop down into heater core area , what a pain in the butt , I sure hope this was the problem , anyway it's in and I'm waiting to see , so with that said ill sign out and let it be and let you know if that was it later ,, Thanks Again
