What is your question?
So my daughter's boyfriend's father replaced my front struts 6 months ago. He just did the struts & new caps. The spring broke in the front right strut 3 months ago. I haven't been able to afford repair. I have to take my daughter to her Lyme disease specialist this week (it is a 6 hr drive). His father was going to just replace springs for me at no charge, but my daughter and her boyfriend haven't been getting along, so he says he won't do it now-leaving me hanging right before our trip. Can I just have front right spring replaced? Do both front springs need replacing? I CANNOT afford a lot as total expenses for my daughter's appt. are almost $1,000. I've checked quick strut assembly and they are like $267 each. Also, will the car need re-alignment? I paid $130 to have it aligned after the new struts went in 6 months ago. I NEED ADVICE!!!! THANKS :)

U can just replace the spring ,just get it replaced ,the alignment will still be good ,a regular shop should do this for you ,got to get here to Those appointment ,that's not something to play with ,got to go..
do you have paper work from the auto shop
Yes , coil spring , good luck ..
Thanks :) I have the paperwork for the struts and caps. I just bought the parts and someone had put them in for me-he had told me just to get that. Wish he had told me to just get a complete strut assembly 6 months ago :(
That's what I was thinking too,if there's a warranty,have to check that out..
The 6 month old struts do have a warranty, but the springs weren't replaced at that time, so unless the new strut somehow caused the old spring to break I'm out of luck. Right? I've learned my lesson though-whole strut assembly would have been way to go (but I bought what I was told to buy). Thank you for the help!! Is it a coil spring I'm looking for then?
