"It usually revs out of control whenever it idles"... Why haven't you had this problem fixed before it came to an accident?????... What kind of floor mat is in the drivers floor board, factory and in place like it supposed to be... Aftermarket mat that is a universal fit??.... 2 liter Coke bottle and a pair of flip flops maybe?
floor mats are the mats that came with the car when purchased in 2005 ... no coke bottles or flip flops ... its in the shop now - faulty IDLE SENSOR! But thanks for the support.
Just trying to force a reply to the answered question!.. Which we rarely get until it is provoked, unfortunately...so thank YOU for responding! Would like to know, as well as other owners, what was found after car is released from shop. Faulty idle sensor is a little vague..as to the cause...
Thanks so much Ziptie12 for the reply - the car is in the shop as we speak - possible faulty Idel sensor and they are checking for a vacuum leak - much appreciated!
