I just replaced the gear shift cable now car won't start from the ignition.

IF P-R-N-D are still in sync with shifter, check the park/neutral switch to see if damaged or wire connector not seated properly. It's right below the shift cable! Shift to reverse with key on, reverse lights still work? Start in neutral or moving shifter back and forth while turning key to start??

Adjust the cable.
