i have a 1993 buick lesabre, i cannot get it shift int gear, , it won't budge

where is the switch located

transmission,next to gear selector.google this part number and you will see what it looks like.DR481

thats working ok , we discovered it is the gear shifter coupler on the steering column,whats a quick fix for that.

yes the cable moves fine, i was also told it be the shift coupler in the steering column, is there a quick fix for that

How is the cable moving if shifter doesn't????.... I have no idea now just what you are saying so try this,,,,,, Turn key on.. Then back toward off JUST A LITTLE.. Not much. Now see if shifter can be shifted from park... Keep trying key position, should release shifter... Good luck...
