new ignition old key wired in starts but dies like it is out of gas

Major vacuum leak , faulty mass air flow sensor , will it stay running if you (!!!carefully!!! spray carb. cleaner into throttle body? BE CAREFULL if you have never done that!!

So.. (?) a new ignition LOCK CYLINDER with new keys was installed but now the engine starts then dies **but it didn't do that before the work**.... Take the NEW key AND the OLD key to a locksmith and get a key made that will work!! .. I see your statement about the old key being wired into the harness... IF you want to FIX this ... Have a key made that will correctly work in the new LOCK CYLINDER that has the same resistance chip in it as the old key does! .. Repair the harness that was altered...
