Purchase 5 qts, after draining oil and changing filter... pour 4qts into engine... Start engine and let it run for 30 seconds... Stop engine and use *dip stick* to check oil level, add as needed until it's on full mark!!.. Then you'll know what oil capacity is and won't have to look in that pesky 'owners manual'.... Jot it down so you can remember next time!
The manual calls for 4.7 quarts with a filter change. But, everyone I know puts exactly 5 quarts and has never had it go over the top dot/line. Always put a thin layer of oil on your oil filter gasket and on the threads on the oil filter. Also, do not use the generic Acura filter. Get a Mobil filter. Use the recommended oil weight too. If you get a 5 Quart jug, make sure you check the amount on the label. I've experience some jugs behaving 5.24 quarts, which is just too much for your Acura.
i know this is over a year old,but i have CRS! Yep,like Pushrod said(Jot it down)so i took a piece of yellow chalk and wrote mine on the radiator shroud.i ain't gonna wash the engine,so it will stay there!
