Car won't move when I put it in gear due to vacuum leak

There are no 'vacuum' lines going to this transmission!! .... Visual inspection needed to find source of leak!... Check fluid level.
You're thinking of a vacuum modulator which I'm pretty sure your car doesn't use. Regardless, a vacuum leak could cause the car to run poorly, stall, or shift erratically, but won't keep the transmission from engaging at all. Check the fluid level and the shift linkage, if both are ok you've got an internal failure.
The car wants to go when its in drive but won't but when I put it in reverse it works fine.if anyone knows where I can buy a used transmission for cheap please let me know thanks
