My cat will not go in reverse it will not go in neutral only everything seems to be just going forward into any driving position what is wrong with my car I'm really frustrated and I'm hoping it's not the transmission please help me feel better

OK.... Take 3 Aspirin and try it in the morning!.... Need more info on vehicle running gear!!! Stick or auto trans would be handy to know! Shifter resistance feel the same as it always did, or is it sloppy now??
