What is your question?
I just had my air compressor replaced during a long cross country road trip. I haven't needed to use the air conditioner as it has been winter. Well, it was 87 degrees the other day (I live in Arizona) and found that the air conditioner is now blowing hot air (it didn't do that even when the compressor needed replacing) As I am new to the area I don't have a trustworthy mechanic yet and want to get an idea of what it may need before taking it to get fixed.

It says you're in Ohio, need to fix that. With temp sensors and such on these systems it does need to be tested. Try the Find a Shop feature on top of the page, and make some calls to see if there is someone you might trust.
When its' in the defrost mode , are the clutch and A/C condenser fan both coming on? Is it an air temp (blend door) problem or maybe a circuit control problem? Have system pressure checked , to be sure that it didn't just leak out after repair, as already mentioned.
Am going to get it checked out - but to answer last question - yes the fan comes on and blows pretty heavily.
I mean the fan for the condenser , (the condenser is in front of the radiator),if that's not coming on when A/C is 'commanded' by PCM , then ,that could be part of the reason for A/C not working.
did it work after you replaced compressor ,it could be low on freon, check to see if the compreesor is cycling
I got it repaired when I broke down in Oklahoma on my way to AZ. The new compressor got the car back on the road - but I was driving in snow and ice - did not use the AC. I noticed that when I put it on the other day, it seemed like cool air was coming out for a few minutes but then it reversed back to warm. It stayed on warm after that until I shut it off (5 minutes or so).
I under stand. That's why I suggested to find a shop as listed. The reason has to be found and it could be simple. Get an opinion and you can repost the findings then we can help further.
