What is your question?
started about a year ago, only just once in a while.last few months it got worse,if i cycled the switch from off to run a few times, pump would eventually prime and start and ran perfect until i turn off truck.checked fuel pump fuse, its good, new fuel pump relay, new pcm relay, new ignition switch(electrical part),new starter solenoid on firewall.i removed fuel pump relay and put a jumper from pin 30(hot all times)to pin 87.this gives constant power to inertia switch,dk grn/yellow,also gives constant power leaving switch(pnk/blk)to fuel pump.there are 4 wires on fuel pum plug.pnk/blk is power and blk is ground,i have 12.54vdc at these points.fuel pump still will not prime.the other 2 wires are for the sender(gas guage,it works.yel/wht,blk/org.this has beat me up.bed is off and i found sticker on top of fuel pump assembly, and the date says 07-24-2000 and thats when the truck was built.also changed fuel filter, thats when pump quit priming.it started up after filter changed but died 5 minutes later in driveway, and now pump will not prime at all.i know that the crank sensor has to see rpm before the engine starts, but i dont think it stops the fuel pump from priming.the pump is 15 years old.i think pump is gone, but not sure.anyone had this problem or know anything i missed, please help.

Is the anti-theft working correctly? Key-less entry all working right? 1999 explorer , sounds the same symptom -wise , except I've got door locks(or remotes) that are doing whatever the hell they want and that is when it seems to not want to start(don't hear fuel pump at all) , then on their own , the power locks will cycle (lock AND unlock) by themselves , then all of a sudden , the truck starts , then no problem at all till you shut it off. Then the circus starts all over again.
I'm curious where you got the fuel pump? Sounds like it was just a refurbished one, which probably won't last as long as a new one. Also, I believe Ford parts are made by a supplier called Motorcraft. Never had any good experience from Ford parts, but that's just me. Seems to me like you installed the fuel filter in the wrong direction, faulty check valve inside fuel pump, or weak motor inside fuel pump that can't keep enough pressure... Which usually leads back to a bad check valve inside the fuel pump. Sadly, I couldn't really tell you forsure unless I look and see tests done on both fuel pressure, and to check the orientation of the fuel filter...
well i got the pump from a seller on e-bay.yes,i did.i took a chance with this, but i kept watching this seller for several months on this fuel pump and he just kept selling more, more, and more of this pump kit.he is selling on average of 30 pump kits per month.also he has sold 955 of these.he has NO complaints, negative feedback, not one, on this pump, all positive feedback.thats one reason i bought it.the other reason is it was $28.49 with a 1 year warranty.the pump is working fine,it fired up first time.the fuel filter is on correct, arrow towards engine.the old pump just happened to quit,10 minutes after i put the new filter on,in my driveway.and you are probably correct, the pump most likely won't last 15 years, like the original did,but the truck has over 304000 miles on it.and no,MOTORCRAFT is not a supplier for ford.Motorcraft is a registered trademark for FOMOCO.for instance,Johnson Controls make their batteries,Autozone batteries,Advance batteries,Wal-Mart batteries, but all to each ones spec.autolite makes the motorcraft spark plugs in the same factory where autolite plugs are made, just to a different spec.there is no such company called Motocraft.com or Motorcraft Corp.just like Wells, makes ignition and emmisions parts for Autozone and the sell it in a Duralast Box,under the Duralast name.
anti-theft is working.flashes every 2 seconds.turn key to on,stays on steady for 3 seconds, goes out.no remote option on my truck, just PATS keys.it only happened every so often, over a year ago.if i would have not been one of THOSE people, that thought problem would go away, may have been able to do the checks and find problem,or may not.but it go worse last 3 months.so,im in driveway at home, started it,pulled up on ramps, changed the fuel filter.primed it a few times with switch, fired up.rolled down off ramps, idled good for 5 minutes, then sputtered, cut off.now fuel pump dont prime no more,at all. i took a chance and ordered a pump kit, sender worked.the reason for that was, when the 500lb short box was taken off, there was a sticker on fp unit,7-24-2000.i said, no way,or maybe.pump came,so i took assembly from tank.on the pump,it had a ford part#,and date on pump said 7-24-2000.i said, good gracious of life, original ford pump.put it all together, pump, new hose, clamps, strainer, new seal on unit.my harness plugged right in the pump i ordered, but they sent a new one, didnt need.primed 4 times with key,on/off/on/off.fired up first try.been driving it,got 900 miles on new pump, now.like to know who made or makes fuel pumps for ford, maybe carter, not sure.idles dead on 750 in park,600-650 in drive.just could not believe pump went 15 years, and 303226 miles.2000 f-150 4.6L,romeo, supercab.
