Hello, engine's need fuel pressure, ignition spark, the proper amount of air intake into the engine and exhaust flow to run properly, as well as the engine needs to be in proper timing with the proper compression. I would suspect a loss of one of those things that are needed -- and testing is required to find out what.
Are you 100% sure ? Extremely low fuel - slosh when shifted to drive and driven 15 feet then engine stalls - now not enough gas in tank for the fuel pump to pick up .. There has been numerous incidents exactly like this that vehicles have been towed to the shop - out of gas! These owners / customers could not believe it either .. Can’t always rely on the gas gauge. IF this is even remotely possible - put additional gas in tank! Just saying ..
