Only problem is the 55 series ‘May’ cause tire to vehicle interference when turning plus the electronics are calibrated for the original equipment tire size. One suggestion is maybe work out a trade with a local tire shop for the correct size - - can also get their opinion as to larger tire size fitment. Now the larger 55 series tires might fit ok but I have no way of knowing - I can tell you that the 235/55 is not listed as an optional tire size.. Good luck!
