Ac went out last week and I drove it 350 miles. I need to drive it back but a Low grinding noice is beginning to increase even when Ac is off. When on only hot air blows and noise stays the same
What makes this problem better or worse?

*No-one* can predict what 'might' happen ! It may be possible to by-pass the compressor using a shorter drive belt. In any event - it would be a good idea to have this *inspected* by 'qualified personnel' to get a better prospective. Good Luck!
