Will a melted spark plug wire cause a Ignition control moduel to die?
What is your question?
I was driving home and truck died while doing 70mph. I had just replaced the icm, plugs wires and plugs. I bought a new ICM. but then noticed the plug wire resting on manifold melted in two. What did I mess up???

Yes I did all Work. I just took controll module and had it tested twice. both times it passed. My next move would be crank sensor??? Back when I had replaced icm, wires, plugs I also replaced coils. The first time truck died like this. my timing belt broke. I replaced that as well and drove it for two weeks before this problem happened. Acted like timing belt came off again. but timing is correct and belt is still in good shape.
