Why would my radio just stop working?

Well, hopped in my ride this morning, and out of habit, pushed the knob/on button for the radio, and lo and behold, it works! Don't know what happened yesterday, and I may have turned it off somehow while monkeying around with my a/c controls. Oopsey...and I'm not even blond! Thanks!
