Replaced the radiator, water pump, and tstat. Didnt overheat for about an 30 min drive then on the way back home started to overheat. The thing acts like there is a restriction in the water flow also had it flushed.

Cooling fans working?... Did you open the 2 BLEEDERS to purge AIR from cooling system??............ IF YES....**May need combustion leak test**... Possible head gasket issue!... No water in oil simply indicates the intake/gaskets aren't leaking... Still possible head/gasket issue!!... Ever misfire at all on first start after being parked for some time, then clear up? ... Ever see steam (white smoke) from tail pipe??... Strongly suggest combustion leak test for any 'mysterious' overheating problem!!! ... Especially on this 2001 3.4 L engine!!
There are two times mine has overheated. Once, it was a problem with the manifold gasket. The other time it was a broken sensor. There are two sensors, which is not common and why a lot of mechanics miss it.
Really...... Exactly which two sensors are causing this???
I'll have to ask my dad. He's the one who figured it out. Had taken to multiple mechanics and had replaced one sensor a couple of times. When we replaced the other sensor, it didn't read as overheating any longer.
Yes the fans are working bled the lines. No trouble starting after it has set for a few day or even a week. No steam from tail pipe. I believe it is more likely going to be head gaskets. This so sucks cause they going to be a pain to replace. Thanks for the response.
Combustion leak test will tell if the gasket is blown!!!!..... Strongly suggest testing before any more work!
Well I found a leak in the heater core so hopefully that is my problem. I know that the core can cause it to overheat also.
