What is your question?
2003 Kia Sedona. Fuel shuts off at random - usually while driving down the freeway. takes anywhere from several minutes to restart, usually has to sit 30 minutes or more then will start right up. We know it's a fuel issue just don't know why. no idea what's making the fuel just shut off. already replaced the fuel pump relay. maybe fuel pump next?
What makes this problem better or worse?
starting fluid will make it fire but not run
How long has your 2003 Kia Sedona had this problem?
a month

Very strongly recommend looking in another direction - ignition spark!

I had the same issue years ago on a Dodge Caravan. My pump problem started on our first extended freeway drive after installing a rebuilt in-tank fuel pump. It would start to buck/stubble then stop. After about 20 minutes we could restart the van and continue driving. Didn't occur driving at slow speeds in town or when idling in park (even idling for 4 hrs - the pump doesn't get hot), but on the freeway it is under load to maintain pressure and a faulty electronic component shorted when hot and the pump stopped. After the pump cools down it tests fine. Only while hot the pump would test shorted. Could never get it to fail at any repair shop. Good Luck
thanks, grumps. dunno, this acts up either hot or cold. no idea if it's the pump or something else...
the fuel pump motor won't get hot as long as it is fully submerged entirely in fuel no matter how fast the speed of the vehicle is going.never run a vehicle low on fuel, when it gets to 1/4 tank, consider that as empty and re-fuel.running it low or waiting until the low fuel light comes on,then the pump motor works harder and gets hot and will quit working sooner than later.
CRANK SENSOR was the answer - no issues since...!
Yeah,I think pushrod pretty much answered that with his first answer on March 18, 2018 bout 3 months ago ,but glad you got it going....
inducing fuel in the intake makes it run. it's not getting fuel. it's not an ignition problem, it's a fuel problem.
Good luck with it!
Fuel pressure TEST along with Fuel *injector pulse* TEST. That ought to do it! I’m sure you’ll get it figured out..
copythat, thanks....
take pushrods advice just for kicks! he knows a thing or 2,because he's seen a thing or 2! but only for over 45 years or so!
replaced the fuel pump. we'll see what happens...
FOLLOW UP FOR ALL THE READERS.... DANGIT if you guys weren't right.... put a new fuel pump in it and it started and ran WAY better so we figured that was the issue.... 2 weeks later, it died again... took it to a local mechanic and he's says "of COURSE it's the crank sensor"... LOL... I'd already ordered one "just in case" and they installed in less than an hour and it started right up..... here's hoping our probs are behind us......!!! THANKS ALL...!!!
