It's part of the distributor assembly.What is the code # P----? What service history on timing belt? When it's running is there any power loss or sluggishness?

The Timimg belt has been replaced recently

Check dist. and wiring to it, if timing belt is on correct then it might be a problem in the dist. , check it for problems internally-oil inside/excessive shaft movement faulty connections.
