It's easiest if you drop your glove box out and resistor plug is the one plugged in your fan motor and it's on the left side of fan motor. What I done was ordered the resistor pigtail and then that way I knew exactly what to look for when I went to disconnect the old one. Then you take some wire cutters / strippers and splice in your new one and then plug it back into your fan motor. Make sure you disconnect battery cable before starting

Yep, seen that one before!... GM has a replacement kit that includes the harness connector to the resistor as well, that's what you need! .. Need VIN to be sure you get the right part!!
