When I go to start my car it idles to 2 and wont come down.

What is your question?

I go to start my car and it idles high to 2 and stays there it wont go down. I tried to put the car in drive and it's a rough transition to drive and I have no control over the gas. It starts to accelerate on it's own

What makes this problem better or worse?
