What kind of trans fluid does my 2005 Saturn vue take?

Hello, there are a couple different transmissions your Vue could be equipped with. The CVT transmission takes DEX-CVT Fluid with GDEX-CVT Fluid Additive. The conventional automatic transmission takes DEXRON III. These are absolutely not interchangeable, so be sure to determine which transmission your vehicle is equipped with before adding any fluid. Note that you may be able to determine the proper fluid by looking at the dipstick; they often will state the proper fluid on them.

Refer to page 6-14 in the owners manual - it will inform you of exactly which lubricants should be used in either manual or automatic transmission - as well as a plethora of other important information!
