Q: what is the procedure for replacing the heater blower motor? on 2006 Jeep Commander

there is an intermittent screeching noise from the fan motor. It happens at all fan speeds. What is the procedure for replacing the heater blower motor and approx how long might it take?

Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. 2. Remove the instrument panel silencer from the passenger side of the instrument panel. 3. Remove the glove box from the instrument panel 4. Disconnect the blower motor wire harness connector from the blower motor power module or resistor depending on how equipped. 5. Remove the three screws (3) that secure the blower motor (4) to the HVAC housing (5).
6. Remove the blower motor from the HVAC housing.
This remove and replace should take about 30 minutes.
