What is your question?
I think the error code is P0410. I would like to reset the Check Engine light and have the inspection redone as soon a possible. (One "Monitor not ready" is apparently OK for my car. I called DMV. Already spent $2500 on this without success.

Drive cycle normally is just a couple of days normal driving usually does it within 50-200 miles, but you don't need to worry with that..you said they allow one not ready, you need to find the problem for the CEL unless that is the code you are getting also for the same thing! if they allow you to have one monitor not ready, there will be a chart in every inspection station you go into in NY!. if you can get the CEL to stay off until you get it inspected, then you might get lucky .the light must stay off while getting inspected, and have no pending codes stored. here in NC in the County i live in,i can have 2 monitors not ready on my 2000 F150 or anyones 2000 down to 1995 and it will pass..they don't clamp the exhaust pipe here any more, the just plug up the OBD2 connector and on 2001 year model the DMV allows one monitor not ready.1995 and older,no emissions, just safety checks, tires, wipers, cracks in certain parts of the windshield,no more than 25% on window tint, etc.
Thank you, this is helpful. It's a long sad story. I bought the car from a used car dealer and he didn't tell me that the car passed inspection with one monitor (relevant for P0410 -- secondary air pump) "Not ready". Sure enough, the Check Engine light came on after 2 days (20 miles driving?). I have tried to get it fixed, spent about $2,500 on it and now am being told that there is so much carbon built up that I'd need to have the heads cleaned -- a repair that would cost thousands of dollars. A helpful person at the NYS DMV told me that it was not legal for a dealer to withhold this information but since I am keeping the car, being a private person seeking NYS Inspection, it'd be OK to have one monitor not being ready (it's always the same error code). I called inspection station here and they confirmed but they said that they would have to reset the error code, then drive for a while (they didn't know the "drive cycle" off hand), then bring it back, and if indeed it was just this one monitor (with the light NOT on yet), I'd pass the test. Most of the time, I can drive for 20 miles (with cold start), then the light comes on. One rare exception, I drove for 400 miles on one day (so only one cold start in the morning) until the light came back on. I am not sure if the 10-15 miles would be OK before returning to the inspection station. In this context the mechanic had brought up the drive cycle. Maybe I misunderstood.
good luck with it and shame on the person that sold it to you and knew this was going to happen!!!
