Why does my blower motor resistor keep burning up in my 2001 Dodge Dakota?

I would expect that something in the system is creating excessive heat. Is the blower motor drawing too much current? is the wiring connector compromised? Physical inspection and use of a DVOM is needed to try and troubleshoot the circuit.

I agree ... One more thing that may be important is the quality of the parts used. (“Current” - as mentioned - is not the same as voltage - testing with a dvom is required)
