what could cause myescort to starve or act like it is starving for fuel?

when it is cold it runs great when it warms up it acts like the fuel pump is not working properl, so bad i had to pull off the freeway this morning and let itsit for a few mins.

I DONT understand how pushrods have anything to do with afuel problem maybe i willtry cleaning the fuel filter thencheck the fuel pump or the fuel regulator presure but pushrods , thats way far fetcxhed if you ask me!!! If anytbody has an answer forme , please let me know????????
