Alternator was just replaced. Battery is fine. While moving engine runs and shifts smooth. Sputters and dies while idling. Giving it a little gas causes the engine to sputter more and die. Could this be the Mass Airflow Sensor, the O2 sensor, or what?

I'm currently looking up how to check the codes myself. Can't get it to AutoZone right now. Isn't there a way to check the codes with a paperclip by inserting it somewhere and reading how many times the check engine light flashes? Yes, the service engine light is on. I recently sprayed the engine off at the car wash due to built up grime if this is any help.
Runs great once I get going. Stutters at stop signs. Makes the whole car rock. I'm thinking a coil also. Maybe the distributor got wet. Gonna Try to get it to AutoZone tomorrow or the day after and I'll let you know the code. Plan on keeping this vehicle a while so I guess if worse comes to worse I'll play pin the the tail on the part.
ok,let me know what the codes are.no distributor on your car.3 coils,1 ignition control module that the coils sit on.module is around 200.00.coils are around 40.00 ea.don"t ever reach and grab one of the wires going to the coil while engine is running,or the next thing you know, you wont know nothing.
what codes?don't assume,or the next thing you know, you will have $1000.00 in parts you don't need.post the codes.
also, did you spray off engine when engine was hot, with cold water?

Turns out it was a manifold pressure fault code. I'm assuming that this is from a cracked upper intake due to a defect or the gasket.
