water leaks into the car on carpet of driver and passenger sides

Sunroof drains are clear,but I noticed the windshield glass at the bottom was missing 90% of the old sealant. Would filling the windshield glass at the bottom fix the water leak?

OK as a finished repair by applying 100% silicone to the base of the windshield this stopped the water from coming into the vehicle. Repair Fixed
