1990 Chevrolet Camaro voltage concerns related to alternator
voltage concerns related to alternator
What is your question?
seems that my alternator isn't putting out enuff "voltage" (or whatever the term is)...meter is saying 12.24, with engine at idle and no lights on or air conditioner on, etc.
RepairPal Certified shops can diagnose and repair your 1990 Chevrolet Camaro. They provide transparent pricing with a minimum 12-month or 12,000-mile warranty on repairs and services.
make sure there is 12v to the big wire in the back. in the 2 wire connector, one should be hot with the key on and the other will have 7 or 8 volts. if you have these readings, replace the alt.

try to connect the neggative connector from the battery terminal to the car's body then measure the voltage again if you still have the same problem thats when you need to change the Alt. because it should read 13.6 when idle.
