Q: trying to get my 2005 honda crv inspected on 2007 Honda Civic

the scanner code that comes up is po498 the dealer recomended a canister assembly along with dust filter so we put in the part with the solenoid and that was not it, my mechanic doesnt think it is the dust filter because the code reads solenoid malfunction so he thinks its electrical, any thoughts ? thank you

solenoid maybe stuck or electrical issue.with a scanner test solenoid by opening and closing with the scanner.
hello, thank you for your responce, we did test the solenoid and it does open and close with a tester, i am going to check the fuses also, i think the ones to check are 23 and 4
