The cooling fan makes sound

(2001 BMW 740iL)
in Denison, TX on August 26, 2009
When the cooling fan kicks in it is making an abnormal sound (since i bought the car in May 2009). It is very loud compared to other vehicles. But the engine is not overheating or anything. Is there anything wrong with the fan clutch?

Usually when the fan clutch is beginning to wear they will get loud, about $100 cheaper at this web site http://www.parts.com/oemcatalog/index.cfm?action=getJointLocator&siteid=2 you should have a tech diagnose this before changing parts.
