Starter and dash lights

(1990 Nissan 300ZX)
going down the road something snatched my main power wire out of the starter and now some of my dash lights will not work what could it be

If the main wire to the starter got ripped out I'd think you'd be lacking more than your dash lights. The lights themselves may be a separate problem. I think you need to go to an auto electric shop or a Nissan specialist for some assistance.
