I have checked all the fuses to sensors everything checks out good in the 2010 Forester except the instrument panel all good speedometer started working erratically and then stopped cruise control still operational
What makes this problem better or worse?
There is no difference
How long has your 2010 Subaru Forester had this problem?

According to the shop manual, "the ABS or VDC control module calculates the vehicle speed based on signals from the four wheel speed sensors and sends vehicle speed signals (4 pulses per rotation of wheel) to the speedometer drive circuit and odometer/trip meter drive circuit in the speedometer." Diagnostic testing will be needed, surrounding the VDC control module (vehicle dynamics control).
“Cruise control still operational” - - to me that indicates the problem is a failed SPEEDOMETER head itself. Cruise must be receiving the proper signal so ......
