sounds like wheel hub in front end but no play in wheels

MANY TIMES a failing hub bearing will not have any play at all - the rollers and bearing races inside get pitted / roughened which causes the noise .. However with only 52,000 miles - bearings shouldn't be a problem..... That said - anything IS possible when it comes to automobile repair. An *experienced mechanic* can usually determine during test drive..
