POSSIBLE timing chain tensioner. could be verified fairly easily. Small black cover on chain case cover Front of engine (pass. side of car) remove cover (3 bolts) and check for easy movement of tensioner (best after it has been off over night) , or however long it usually needs to sit before it makes the noise.
