Should car tires spin freely while jacked?

If 4x4 is 'disengaged' - front wheel should spin freely with only one wheel jacked up .. With only one *rear wheel* jacked off of the ground then NO - that's what hold the vehicle in place while parked. With transmission shifted into neutral - each rear wheel can be turned .... Except for limited slip rear differential - then it is harder to turn the rear wheel. Do not jack vehicle up with transmission in neutral - park brakes should also be applied. IF you think you have a particular problem - seek *hands-on* help from qualified personnel.
