What is your question?
Was told I needed to replace the cooling fan assembly,, old one would not come on when hot,, unless I tapped it with a tool.replaced it,, now it works sometimes,, will come on when then engine is cold, mornings,,but will not when idling hot, or at a red light, or in traffic, I live in South Mississippi,, that's a problem,, I can tap on the module and fan motor,, no change,,am I looking for a bad temp sensor or thermostat??, been happening for 2 Summers,, need an answer, quick,, gas mileage is terrible,, running rough too,
How long has your 2008 Ford Edge had this problem?
2 years, summers

Parts should never be replaced until *hands-on* TESTING has been performed by qualified personnel to determine 'exactly' what has failed.. Keep in mind some aftermarket parts are subpar.
