Recently replaced valve cover gaskets and plugs because of oil leak around the plugs. Now, as soon as engine heats up, rough idle begins. Idle is fine when engine is first started. Except for rough idle, engine runs great. What could cause this to happen? No other changes were made or parts replaced.
Thank you for the answer. I just did that, and replaced one of them. However, still have the same problem. Anything else I might check?
I don't know what else could or should have been distributed during the valver cover gasket set installation!.. I own a 93 Corolla same engine.. I'll look after the ballgame and see!!!... I didn't see any other items to check BUT I still say it vacuum related!
There are only two vacuum hoses attached to the valve cover which were removed when I changed it out. Now I have replaced both of them as well as the pcv. Still having the trouble with rough idle after engine heats up.
Oil still ponding up around spark plugs?.. Remove plug wire from plug... Any oil on the plug wire boot??
