That’s certainly a possibility! However the failed rod bearing alone will warrant engine rebuild or replacement.

A failed connecting rod bearing results in CRANKSHAFT damage - engine removal and disassembly is required as a ‘portion’ of that repair.. I hope this sheds some light on the situation as I really don’t know what your question is. Good luck!
