Replace left motor mount?

(2002 Ford Taurus)
in Huntington, NY on December 19, 2009
Mine is broken, due to severe rust.To replace,it appears that mounting bracket has to be slid to rear, but drive axle limits it.Does the axle have to be removed? or upper engine bracket in order to get clearance.Thank you.

Did you have to remove the axle to get the mount out? Thanks!

Don't know.It snowed here-I gave it to my local repair station to do.Technically this is referred to as the rear mount, though it is on the left side of the motor.
