Ranger will not turn over

(2002 Ford Ranger)
I have a 2002 Ford Ranger that will not turn over. However if bang the solenoid it usually will start. Have replaced the solenoid 2x. It works starts right up for a while and then back to same problem. Had the starter tested and was told it is fine. Any suggestions on what could be causing this?
What seems to make the problem better or worse? Starts after bang solenoid
How long have you had this problem? few weeks

Replace the starter motor and securely attach the NEW wire that is in the box with the new starter.

Failure to do so may result in a no crank condition.

Good luck!
