What is your question?
I want to connect a trickle charger on vehicle as it won't be used for a few months. The instructions on the charger requires the need to identify the polarity of the battery posts. They say that most vehicles have the negative post grounded. Is that true with the 2007 Volvo XC70??

To attach a charger open the hood /bonnet attach the negative lead to the engine block, there is a lift ring on the side of the block close to the front strut mount brace bar and attach the positive to the battery terminal which is in a small plastic box immediately behind the under bonnet fuse/ relay cover. It is marked +. I have had an XC70 hooked up to a Ctek charger for the last three years and everything is fine. When you first do so inspect electrolyte levels in each batter cell are correct.
I hope they can get it done now, 3 months is a long time.
