Hi can you please tell me where the PVC valve is located thx.

It's on the plastic intake hose, between the throttle assembly and the air flow sensor. Volvo calls it a "flame trap" and it doesn't look like the common ball and spring loaded PCV valve. It has a bayonet lock, so after you remove the vent hose attached to the valve, you need to turn it a little and pull it out. Sometimes it stuck and you have to use some penetrating fluid and play with it. If there is a plastic screen inside, just remove and discard it, than reinstall the housing. There is an O-ring, make sure it stays on the housing. There is a TSB from Volvo not to use the screen. If you need further help, let me know.
Also, make sure the vacuum hose and the nipple where the vacuum line attaches is clear and not plugged with carbon.
This car doesnt have a pcv valve it has a breather box system called the oil trap it is located on the drivers side of the engine...
What is the approximate size of the oil trap. Can this or the flame trap being plugged be responsible for pressure under oil filler cap? approx. 4 psi.
Does a plugged flame trap cause pressure buildup in engine?
