What does it mean when it says engine service urgent

The statement comes on randomlyl when driving ' Feels like the car is not getting enough gas. But car does not shut off. I have had the gas pedal replaced and the throttle body. Light still comes on. I have spent a lot of money ! Please advise !! The car gas peddle feels funny when driving. No noises or leaks !
